To the Sounds is an exhibition of new photographic and sonic works by Josephine Mead at Void_Melbourne that examine the nexus where sound, love, communication and possibility meet.

You crossed through my star-studded skies, rearranging things. The moon was left askew, and stars fashioned new formations in trails behind you. We are swimming through strong currents and I am reading to learn new tidal rhythms and move more easily. Together we are fashioning a new ocean for our future. Moving sea water toward sound and finding warm pockets of silence, hand in hand. I have met with a new form of light. Words dissolve into shimmering echoes and we have settled into new patterns of communication and sight. It has not been without its difficulties. I am a tuning fork of emotion, vibrating to the thoughts and interferences of those around. I am a tuning fork of emotions, forming to your sounds.
